If anything, I am an apologist for the 19th century monarchies, which IMHO WWI was fought to eradicate. Maybe at times my anti-Anglo-Saxonism is misconstrued as apologizing for their enemies. That is not my intention. Besides, we all know that by 1848 all decent Germans had settled in the US, no? ;-)

I don't want to re-hash the old "Hitler was a leftist" argument, but its fairly evident he was allowed to thrive by the non-Marxist Western left. He was a democratically elected socialist after all and was seen as a way to bridge the 19th century to the modern State.

Wilson's irrational hatred of the Catholic monarchy in Austria set the table for this creature.

Edit: I shouldn't have said any historian. There are numerous courtier historians who are more opinion makers than they are truth seekers.

<The Hitler era is a lesson in the need for interventionism at the first sign of danger>

AH, that explains why we bombed Kosovo back into the stone age.

And I thought it was to protect the innocent from the evil madman.

Or was that the excuse at Waco?
