With today's tight labor market, it's tough to interest prospective gold rushers to go places like Dawson, Alaska, and spend their days in a stream panning for gold. You see, through a complex series of calculations, I've drawn in inverse correlation between available jobs, and the number of college graduates going into gold mining. I can only speculate, but my studies have led me to an early hypothesis that today's "modern" worker is programmed by our society to favor technology related work over standing in a freezing stream and panning for flecks of gold dust until he possibly has enough accumulated to go into town and get a bottle of cheap whiskey and a well used hooker. Remember, these are only early conclusions and this is an ongoing study.
