Freeus, I would be interested to know how you are suffering as a result of the horrible events you constantly harp upon? What is it you can't do, can't have, can't say? In what way would your daily life be different if things were as you would like them to be?

So far, all I can discern is that your tax bill would be smaller due to the elimination of Social Security, and your dollar bills would be backed by gold (from the teeth of seniors who had to sell their fillings to buy better cat food and firewood?).

You're appealing to my pessimist side now. I know that a lot of people vote for security over liberty. I also know that we are approaching (might already be there) the point where tax eaters will out number tax producers.

What to do about it? I don't know, but to do nothing, to head for hills or lay low doesn't seem like the right thing to do. Being overly pessimistic inclines us to do that.
