Which is just eating. Really it is just eating. It is great because you don't have any messy bottles to clean and no leftovers to throw away. But really it is just eating from a breast- you have a bottle with a nipple you have a breast with a nipple. So why isn't suckling a baby at your breast "just eating"?

You've merely defined what breast feeding is, but haven't explained what the offensiveness consists of.

You've mentioned "intimacy" a couple of times. Isn't everything involving in caring for babies intimate? Holding another person in one's arms, kissing another person, wiping drool from another's chin, for example, are all intimate acts. Yet it's hard to understand why anyone would consider doing things to a baby offensive.
