>> Nobody seems concerned. What is going on with Qualcom?

I think the Reuter's article published at noon outlines the situation pretty objectively:

biz.yahoo.com

I won't deny that a 23 1/2 point drop is discouraging, but it's hardly a disaster. Just nine trading days ago Q was at 164 3/4, and on the first trading day of August, it was at 152 1/2. If someone came up with news that led be to believe Q's fundamentals were changing for the worse, I'd be plenty worried, but I'm not intimidated by the "parts shortage" story, which was recycled from Q's very own July quarterly report.

Besides, Gorilla Hunters are a hardy folk <g>.

What, me worry? Listen. I don't get too terribly excited when (this) stock has a tremendous run; I don't get that depressed (ok, maybe alittle) when it gets hammered either. Has anything changed with this COMPANY? Or is it some analyst and rehashing of old news? The story is as good as it was several months ago when I bought it. The only thing we have to keep an eye on is if it goes down further, when is a good time to load up alittle more-for those of us that aren't too heavy already!

I know that GG means long term but, c'mon-- a $23 drop in one day?? Nobody seems concerned.

In about the last 12 months Cisco has dropped 40% twice. This and other folders will go bonkers when Qualcomm drops 40%. I'll be very surprised if it doesn't happen, almost as surprised as other people will be when it does happen.
