ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1999-- Delphi Information Systems, Inc. In addition Delphi will issue InfoSpace.com a warrant to purchase 250,000 shares of Delphi's common stock. The option exercise price is at a premium to the current market price.

''Our carriers and agents will have access to 86 percent of all Internet users through InfoSpace.com's extensive distribution network,'' said Robin Raina, President, Delphi. ''This agreement with InfoSpace.com further demonstrates our commitment to place primary business focus behind ebix.com and establish strategic relationships with technology leaders to support the future development of the portal.''

Naveen Jain, chairman and CEO of InfoSpace.com, added: ''Our agreement with Delphi demonstrates the value the InfoSpace.com distribution network brings to companies that wish to gain rapid access to a significant number of Internet users. About ebix.com

ebix.com, an HP Enabled E-Service which Delphi will launch on Sept. 8, is the only site on the Web to meet the insurance needs of both the consumer and the insurance professional. ebix.com will include a virtual marketplace, ebix.mall, where consumers can define their policy coverages and seek competitive quotes from a number of carriers or agents/brokers in a timeframe defined by the consumer. This will allow consumers to compare prices in a non-threatening environment and buy insurance online if they so desire.

ebix.com will also incorporate powerful and secure business tools for agents/brokers, including the recently launched workflow and management engine ebix.link. ebix.link is currently being piloted by a number of leading carriers and agents in the United States and Mexico, drawing from Delphi's strong business relationships with six of the ten largest insurance agencies in the world and over 3,000 agencies in the United States. This workflow engine, launched in January, can save insurance professionals up to 70 percent in time, energy and costs associated with processing day-to-day transactions.
