Don't forget that lower end systems don't use much memory. High end systems are the larger percentage of the memory market. According to previous post made on this thread.

The high end is much smaller than it used to be, it can be defined in various ways but for arguments sake I'll call it 10 to 15% of the market. If Rambus gets half of that high end market next year they will be far from dominating total memory sales. I don't think they will have much of a presence in the low or middle range in that time frame. In 2001 it could be a differenct story - or maybe not.
