On another subject it appears that IBM is going to try and commoditize the network chip business by opening up the software side and differentiate on the hardware substrate side.

Now hasn't IBM been bragging about how they have transformed the company into a SERVICE company? Maybe "making things" isn't the low margin, no glamour, disdained by Wall Street endeavor that we were led to believe.

But seriously, who will have the edge in this battle for the network processor? Any thoughts?
