Hi Dave, Value Line has a "Stock Price Stability" item in the lower right hand corner of each stock page. It has a range of 5 to 100 with 100 being most stabile.

I've used this number to confirm both low and high BETA readings. Someone has borrowed my VL booklet that tells how this value is calculated, but memory tells me that it had to do with frequency of price fluctuations as well as range. I'll have to check.

The shorter the business cycle, the better the AIM potential. Cruise lines are potentially better than utilities, etc. Toy manufacturers are potentially better than office supply companies.

I played golf somewhat successfully (a matter of opinion!) the other day and yesterday helped out at our annual GoKart race. Just getting back to "business" today.

Best regards, Tom

Thxs Everyone, this has been very productive and I know the RedNecks value your thoughts and efforts. I would like to wrap this up with comments on Other Benefits:

1. Emotional control. Patience.
2. Investing vrs Gambling or as Dave says "shooting from the Hip"
3. Makes you AIM for a specific target instead of just shooting blindly into the sky. Research.
4. Watch less TV verses listening to more tv (veale and gang).

Just my thoughts.
