<<Just can't stand Cdn stocks (in general) anymore - no volume relative to US co's.>>

Volume or not, 95% are either doing nothing , or going down, and if they are going up, red flags come out, as if it wasn't normal. And most of those who also trade in the states (in the long run) are the worst.

Just look at Leitch or Cognos, consistent growth of, sales ,earning , eps, you would think that leitch is a company with a great future, Cognos is also looking good, or even Cinram which is growing faster that the S&P. Look at their Chart-------->>>>>>>> PATHETIC.

Agreed, rising tide raised all boats. But I tend to hold on to stocks for yrs (any stock that falls 10% of purchase price I sell immediately). If a company was not profitable, I have to watch it carefully, and that takes up too much time. At any time, I try to hold a max of 12 different stocks, since I can't keep track of too many.

Despite the pristine earnings and financials, ATY does seem to require a lot of attention these days. I'm looking for next quarter's earnings to decide what to do here. No matter what happens, ATY has been a very good long term holding. This is what got me stared in the game.

There's always lots of stocks that go up on most days. Good luck on FVCX, I'm keeping my fingers crossed too on SNDK and VOX, and I still have hope that ATY will see $30 sometime soon.

ScaredButHopeful, one thing in investing that has been proven is that stocks coming out of bankruptcy have big gains and another occurs when a stock goes from having negative earnings to positive earnings in some quarter - a positive signal to the market that things could be improving and that usually creates a run up.
