Wish you'd not reminded me of the Labor Day 97 .... I don't recall that it went up on Tuesday too much (now I'm going to have to go look) ... but I ended my overnighters that weekend ... I had hit a pretty good lick on some stock or whatever and had a fairly good size pile of profit and decided to make a killing or lose it all ... but anyway I bought 100 out of the money calls Tues, 100 on Wed, 200 on Thurs, and 300 on Fri ... all were underwater and sinking more and I kept "knowing" there was a big rally coming .... Seems that Tuesday rally you remember didn't help me that much for I recall I decided to quit the overnighters then and there and haven't carried a position on indexes (calls, puts, or futures) overnight since then that I can remember ..... Heck, you have spoiled my day ........ LOL now I'm going to go look up my books and a chart from then .... laughing all the way ... for it has really saved me money in the long run .....
