AG speaks on Wd, and there is one other fed scheduled to speak on Tues, Thurs, and Fri. You can bet they will try talking down the market. But, with the big players having been absent from the game during August, I would imagine that the balance of orders is going to be buys since they probably unloaded their losing positions before going on vacation. I expect good things to happen early next week going into AG's speech. PPI is the only economic number of importance next week and it is on Friday. If it weren't for my QCOM, RMBS, and BBY positions, I would have had a tremendous week. As it stands, i had a pretty darn good week anyway. You, too, have a good weekend. I am going to try hard to not think about the markets this weekend. There should be no news releases and I ended up pretty well. But, it will be hard to not check in on SI or CNBC.

Frank Next thing you'll be telling us is that they all got together on Wed and said we know the jobs number is good so lets take the market down Thurs and buy cheap and then sell on Friday.That could fit with your conspiracy theory couldn't it? :-)Relax and have a good long weekend. :-) Ed

What a terrible pity that the stock market closes up on such a powerful momentum with three days for the assholes at the Fed to be tortured. >> Whoah. My God. Now I realize how deeply...well, I won't be trying anymore to engage with this kind of ever-more-elaborate, ah, thought system...I thought perhaps a rational dialogue was possible...I see now that it is certainly way way beyond that.
