Q on topic: What will AMD do when the world is 64 bit, and I don't mean x86, and neither Intel nor HP licenses PA-RISC to AMD?

Sounds to me like they have about two years and then it's set top boxes or smart toys for the Athlon, and Follow-On (tm EL).

If you think the Pentium III is superpiplined then I guess you haven't been exposed to much CPU design. I don't think any CPU architect inside Intel or AMD would consider Pentium III a superpipelined design.
