All I can say is that that Reuters article has my Yahoo stocks page lit up like a Christmas tree with Checkfree News. Yahoo, MSFT, Lycos, AOL, Chase, First Union, Wells Fargo, Schwab, Bell South, etc, etc.

Funny thing is that there's nothing particularly substantive in the Reuters piece. Just that CF is looking for more partners. I guess those "throw away" stories like CF signing up ATT, MCI, Sprint, Merrill Lynch, American Express, Schwab, Fidelity, etc., or that they've been successfully processing more than 1 million payments each month are just too blase for headlines in the Internet Age <g>...

I tell ya -- you just never know what crazy piece of news for a given stock is gonna shake folks up. Regardless of whether you believe the Yahoo partnership is priced into the stock or not, this stupid little piece of fluff news is going to do a hell of alot to move the Checkfree name a little closer to the front burner, IMHO.

Following up this type of broad exposure with a joint Yahoo/CF announcement couldn't hurt too much either...

They're starting to do some brilliant stuff down there in Norcross...
