djoobahjieh, the only downside I can think of is that my speculation is right and that Daddy Warbucks is another floorless bandit.

When Daddy Warbucks first appeared, the argument was he did not want to be identified because it was such an impressive institution, the mere mention of its name would skyrocket the price and preclude Warbucks from having his fill of cheap $6.50 shares. I'd think Warbucks has had plenty of opportunity by now to pick up $6.50 shares.

If I my respond to your question, DJ, one real simple reason why Mr. Mysterio, a.k.a. Daddy Warbucks, doesn't want his position revealed just yet. He might not be thru building his position yet, and doesn't want to get a lot of publicity yet. After all, when the guy that run's Fidelity's Magellan fund likes a stock, he doesn't trumpet to the world that "Hey, I like this stock, and I'm gonna buy a boatload."And no, I'm not implying at all Daddy Warbucks is the Magellan fund, just that money managers don't necessarily trumpet their moves in the market before they happen. Admittedly, this is just a SWAG, but it seems a reasonable possible explanation.

DJ:

It is not typically management's prerogative to identify investors, especially institutional investors.

Institutional investors typically keep their intentions hidden until they have accumulated their "full position". Why would these institutional investors do otherwise?
