PCs are being given away for free. This approach while it makes E-machines look great does cut into the business of Dell, CPQ and the likes.

Once the PCs are available for free, we do not have to buy MS Office any more. We get the Star software right?

So I get a free box, a free LINUX, a free STAR software, and why should Microsoft be left out, they can provide the free ISP access. Sure Microsoft join the band of the "free"
By the way, does MSFT have the high speed servers from Sun that AOL has? If not, then how will their slow servers handle the user inrush that is expected with a free ISP especially from a giant like MSFT.
