Why would you classify the Taiwanese as selfish? Simply because they do not contribute money to us after a couple ot storms? You gotta do better than that.

Your bait and switch tactics (first timor, now the kurds) are just another act of desperation. But I don't blame you personally. You are very typical of those who try to believe that this administration is working hard for the good of their voters. But I am concerned about what will happen to the believers when there is nothing left to hope for, and the walls come crumbling down.

Wasn't it the Kurds who, to strengthen their own position with the Turks earlier in this century, marched thousands of Armenians out in the desert and left them - sans food and water - to perish?

But quibbling aside, I have to agree with you about the U.S. not being able to go to the aid of every country "we" think needs our form of government.
