I think that was Pete Seeger and/or The Weavers, Blue. The older generation, actually. They were good, even if they were hairy.

Yep, I remember singing it around the campfire late at night in the summer of, I believe it was, 1963 or 1964. I spent part of that summer living in a commune in upstate New York. Groovy, man!

Of the other songs, I can remember Strontium 90, Where Have All the Flowers Gone, If I Had a Hammer, and all that bunch. Sung, of course, to the accompaniment of an out of tune guitar while rattling our love beads.

God, what a summer that was!

Re. " I think it's a slur, he's suggesting that you're a fellow-traveller to the Socialists."

I invite you, X, and any others to make a distinction between what I say and what others say or speculate that I say. You may find that you don't know me as well as you thought.....

Coby, recently you have reported on my politics, my religious beliefs, my problem with being unloved, my feeling uncomfortable around women, etc.

Please stop it.

You may call me names. You may ridicule my opinions. Fair or unfair -- doesn't matter.

But -- you are NOT allowed to put your words in my mouth or tell other people what I am thinking.

I hope you understand that and I hope this is the end of it.

With sincere hope for better communications and relations,

Mike
