While it may be a common investing mistake to sell your winners and hold your losers, it is also a common investing mistake to give up a fast, short term profit in a very volatile stock, only to watch it drift back to your buying point. It is one thing to "know" that you hold a good, undervalued stock, it is another to know that you will realize the profit on it before you have grandchildren (or great grandchildren, depending on your age!) You are a bit harsh in criticizing Rory's choices here. He made some good $$ almost overnight; might he regret that choice when RRC is at $7 in a week? Sure. Might he look real smart when it drifts back toward 4 3?4? Absolutely! My point is that he made a decent investment choice here, and probably does not deserve to be flamed and ridiculed for his choice. Maybe you need to lighten up on that expresso, or is it what you add to the expresso that make you so hostile!!

Hey Slider first I would like to say go to Hell! Just because I have different trading style then yours does deserve the attack I just received. Who the hell do you think you are?! For me I made good money on TMR and RRC given my investment objectives. Yes I bought MEXP and lost a little, but I don't feel comfortable holding this one long term and either do you according to your schizophrenic bullshit posts. So don't give me this bullshit you are holding em for the long term through thick and thin. BTW I didn't blame you for a damn thing. Your post are not just fundamental research type posts, but are laden with hype and entertainment for which people follow. So yes I do trade off your posts when I deem appropriate and will continue to do so. I admitted I bought your beloved RRC and on your countless posts. At first I didn't like it. It looks and feels like a POS to me, but who knows. But when I saw it continue to slide, I bought some at 4 11/16 betting it would pop based on your increased level of posts as if RRC was the second coming of christ. I was right, sold half at 5 1/2 and the other 5 1/8. I am sorry I didn't follow your instructions to the letter and wait to sell at 7. I hope for you RRC longs out there it goes to 7 or higher. I am not in competition with you guys and wish none of you ill will. I have my own personal objectives that I want to meet and the only person I am in competition with is my self, no one else. And who knows I might buy it back some day. I can guarantee you that my portfolio will not look the same 3 to 6 months from now, so your little bet is worthless to me. The picks I post I am looking for short term runs. HLX is my favorite right now, could I be wrong? maybe. Could I be right? I hope so. Simple as that. I don't tell you how to invest Slider so please get off your high horse and quit telling me how to or belittling my technique. This thread is to share ideas, trading strategies, not who is the better stock picker. Too many of those threads already on SI. Slider don't get me wrong I never once belittled your trading strategy or research. I have given you a good time every once in while but your posts beg for that. To fellow thread member sorry for the off topic, will try to no longer respond to Slider's attacks. Rory
