I didn't say I supported them because they were freedom fighters. I said I supported them because I think it is strategically important to the sustainability of democracy and freedom.

I've been following this exchange with interest. Without getting into who are freedom fighters worth supporting, shouldn't we look at promises that were made? If we as a country are going to renege, our word wouldn't carry much weight in the future.
