The limits the gov wants to pass are not to protect people but to protect the gov. They are the ones who are afraid. They want to make sure nobody can resist them. Nobody seems to recognize the right to over throw tyranny anymore. If someone takes on the FBI they are just wacko terrorists!! Not that armed resistance is a viable option these days. I'd say they are off a little to be starting a no win fight like that. Much better to wake up people on this thread who think everything is fine to the realization that we have a developing problem with our government. Joan has said the technology is the problem. I'd say that the people using the technology are the problem. Just like guns don't kill people, people kill people. Technology doesn't spy on people. People spy on people.
