Chaz,

<< Bell South site, or an SBC site >>

The carriers sites are not usually very informative. Industry dailies generally a better source to piece things together. Everybody playing it pretty close to the vest right now as transitioning strategies and standards get hammered out.

I've heard nothing about what SBC's plans for their AMPS/GSM/TDMA world are but there is a recent article by Keith Radousky (director of engineering for BellSouth Cellular) called "Guest Opinion: Going Global With GSM/TDMA" at:

wirelessweek.com

It will be interesting to look back at this time next year to see what has transpired since the Q/Ericcy accord.

BTW: On NextWave their is an interesting article "Opinion: Inside The NextWave Mess" in the September 6, 1999, issue of Wireless Week at:

wirelessweek.com
