Bux, << interoperability a mute point, or at best a minor consideration for 99% of all subscribers >> On interoperability I strongly disagree. Not because I'm in your 1%, but because carriers make technology choices based on it. Global roaming is a given for Europeans (although not fully realized, certainly getting close, particularly with Satellite fill in becoming available) and an important decision point, particularly in Asia. Someday, a CDMA phone will be able to authenticate to a GSM network, and Qualcomm will be the better for it. - Eric -
