Mark has his point regarding self-styled pundits of the know who express an interest, or a point of view, on the thread of a particular equity they're following. As we have seen on this thread, exuberance and hatred have led to extremes of commentary on both sides. Extremes I'm sure the vast, silent majority of lurkers understand and discount accordingly. I have no problems, ultimately, with this aspect of the stock market game. We all have our bullish equities, and we all have our short equities, and we're free to express our opinions about them on the threads in question. BUT, there is a major difference(imho) between expressing an opinion on the thread of an equity you're following, and setting yourself up as a self-proclaimed expert on the game in general via a thread dedicated exclusively to this proposition. I point to Mr. Billy's hilarious Dog Pound as but one example, and Zeev's being another, albeit one of a lesser extreme. By the way, those are only two of a number of identical....hmmmm, what's the term I'm looking for......HEY, I believe Mark himself has referenced this term, indeed a black rock and roll band had a song by the same name....Cult of Personalities(CP, ;-) ) that pass themselves off as experts. Indeed, say what you will about Mooter, Fred, et.al., but I don't see them putting up their own SI shingle trying to attract folks to their point of view on the game. Still, since they exist I will say I like to monitor those CP threads more out of curiosity about the breed than anything else. Also to stay up on their tactics, which are ever changing and always potentially blind-siding. And I can even get along with THOSE types when they provide some data to back their claims such as FRAUD. But when they stand on their own threads and recommend a certain approach, then enter here in a self-aggrandizing fashion to state that the equity is a fraud,......well...even you, Larry, don't stoop to such hyperbole without at least trying to provide a framework for your stance. But like I said before, it takes all types to make a market, even bottom dwellers like Mr. Bill. Oh, by the way, unlike some of the longs, I'm not going to proclaim that the tacticians are finished just yet. One/two days do not a trend make. We need to see a few days strung together before I'll be satisfied the current selling pressure has backed off. I do, however, plan on being a pain in that transfer agents rear end, as I'd like to know as soon as possible when/if the common is transferred. Fortunately, I already cleared it with her(bugging her, that is), and it be no problemo!! Hope the weather's better your way than where I am, and that the holiday is going smoothly. John~
