John Re-<when we do experience the crash..let us know how it feels for you ....we KNOW you won't sell INTC and you
WILL buy the dips...so let us know when you reach the point where the fact that you KNOW intc will come
back eventually is of little consolation to you at the time....would it be INTC $50?, $40, $30??? remember
you would be buying more all they way down..probably on margin
-----------------------------------------------------
John, do you mean that Intel will be at $ 50.00 or 60.00 after it goes to 120.00 and then splits again. And the stockholders will have twice the number of shares.

intel.com

John- check this out. This is why long term investors make more than those who chase and try to time the market

Look at the value today of 100.00 invested at time stock went public.

>it will crash<

Can you point us to specific reasons that you think that the market in general and Intel in particular is about to crash? It seems to me that there has been an inordinate amount of solid good news on Intel recently. I have held Intel for many years, and have never seen such an abundance of positive developments for the company. Asia is re-awakening, PC sales are sky-high, the economy is booming and Intel is making investments and acquisitions that cannot help but assure its future for years to come. What's your beef, specifically?
If you are just a contrarian who believes that lots of good new is bad, then I understand.

John,

The market will "crash" and provide buying opportunities on stocks like intc..it will crash...all the reports, etc are just noise

All of the reports of Taiwanese foundries running at 100%+ capacity are just noise????

All of the reports of shortages in many areas of chips(most notably flash) are just noise????

The recent 64MB DRAM spot price move from $4.50 to $10.00 is just noise????

Record(All-Time High) PC sales in Japan recently are all just noise????

Your definition of noise must be very broad, because to stupid old me, all of these things look like positive fundamentals for the semiconductor sector. Stick with your FDIC deposits and I am sure you will do just fine<tic>

Re: ...you have probably never experienced a bear market and certainly not one in INTC...

INTC routinely corrects 25% off it's all-time highs. However, INTC has always recovered from these drops, and in fact it would have been quite profitable to add to your position each time it dropped 25%.
