I know what your saying E and for the most part I agree, but there is a way to prevent the poor who will suffer, and the unwanted, sometimes damaged, babies they are to be forced against their will by the government to grow in their abdomens.

It's called "Abstinence" And you know what??

It works every time it's tried..

Agreed, but what I was trying to say, was that in pre-roe v. wade, you at least had some middle class babies available for adoption. Therefore adopting an unwanted child became a reasonable alternative for childless couples... but would the adoption rates be as high as they were in the '60s if it was widely understood that only children of the poor were bringing unwanted pregnancies to term? Particularly when there are other alternatives now for infertile couples... as well as adoption possibilities internationally. I'll bet we wind up with a lot of unwanted babies that grow up in Foster Care.
