Agreed that waiting until marriage for sex is unrealistic. I doubt that many have ever actually done that, surely they decide it's ok to when engaged? Or the girl agrees to satisfy the boy's "male urgings" by methods other than intercourse. I am enamoured with identifying, and balancing, competing interests, even within oneself. I hope to clearly instill in my children the understanding that freedom from disease, freedom from unwanted pregnancies, entanglements with unworthy people, premature commitments even with worthy people, are all important interests that should be balanced against the urge for sexual satisfaction.
