Yes, violent criminals must go to jail. But I would be for the reinstitution of Prohibition so that alcohol use can be properly stigmatized. Its use serves no good and useful purpose. Can you name even one? (By the way, the health effects of red wine have been shown to be just as attainable from pure red grape juice).

Further to your post, why should their be any federal or state funding of alcohol treatment programs? Why should I pay for the treatment of these repulsive inebriates?
