Chalu, there is no state funding for alcohol treatment programs in Texas. At the time I had my need for rehab, there was no federal funding either. Unless some drastic changes have been made, the same should be true now. I personally know that alcoholism is NOT a disease but the doctors and bleeding hearts like to call it that to bilk the insurance companies. If the federal government takes the bait on this scam, I have no pity for them...TD
