<<Can you give examples of conservative organizations doing this? How about speeches by conservative candidates?>>

Sometimes it is what you do not say that gives credence to what you support. I have never heard Falwell or other religious leaders condemn acts of violence against gays or others when these acts get national attention. When that gay man in Wyoming was killed why didn't the religious leaders stand up and denounce violence and tell all that this is not acceptable behavior. These leaders are not skin heads.

<<gays should have the same rights as the common citizen. They should be allowed to get legally married, have any job they are qualified for, or join the military>>

I agree with you but many consider these as special rights. I live in Cook county, Illinois where it is illegal to fire someone from their job cause they are gay. However in the rest of the state it is legal to do so. So when I support state legislature to make it illegal throughout the state to fire gays for being gay I am "supporting special rights for gays" in the opinion of many. I do not consider this a special right.

<<extreme views like yours only aliente the conservatives even farther>>
I did not think being a concerned father was an extreme view and I did not intend to present my arguments as extreme views. I am trying to bring to light the problems of being gay in America. I am also trying to show that violence against gays and other minorities is a problem that needs to be addressed. Religious leaders should be publicly denouncing all forms of violence and I just dont see that happening.
