The next thing to displace CF will have to have a big advantage in terms of capacity, price or ubiquity (ie it can be used in many devices). Maybe IBM's Micro Drive??? It's much more expensive, but for "high-end devices" (not kid stuff), it has the capacity. The price will have to come down though.

Joe, if you're right in suggesting that Sony's Memory Stick could be on the losing end, then it's possible that Sony sshares are way overpriced. I realize that Sony is into a lot of diffferent markets, but if the Memory Stick decision is wrong headed, it is symptomatic of really serious management decisionmaking problems.
