I don't know if everyone who thinks homosexuality is unnatural also thinks that homosexuals are the root
of all evil. Nor is it believed that they can't be successful or pleasant and friendly people. But here is the point I see being made, those who don't think it is right, no matter how friendly and successful a person may be, don't want their children exposed to homosexual issues in the school system. I've yet to see anyone voice a desire to cause harm to homosexuals, or to advocate or instill hatred. If they wish for their children to be raised by a certain moral code, it is their right to do so, just as it is your right to hold your own opinion on the matter.

Hey Michelle, I also believe that falwell's characterization of Tinky Winky was off-base or at least he should have kept it to himself.

I also believe that a penis was made for a vagina and was meant for fun, intimacy, and procreation between a man and a wife.

Please do not take this to mean that I am in favor of violence against homosexuals.

I am not.

sexual orientation being something that I believe is genetic,
and not learned behavior

I know you only made this as an aside, but it interests me as an argument. Particularly, why you think it makes any difference at all to the discussion.

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for your kind words and support. I have read all the posts from tonight on this thread and you have really stood up for your beliefs. Sorry I was not here to help you.
