<<btw, give some more TA on Q, please. I love it when you swirl the tea leaves>>

first thoughts on TA centered on mammaries and fannies, but enough of such adolescent indulgence

strong support at 160 with sizeable volume in last several days... we saw a strong daily change in direction near 160 in early August from above, and a strong daily change in direction from 160 in July from below... support at 160 tested successfully so far with 160 holding upon retest... relative strength on daily basis diddling at midrange zero levels, and QCOM rarely has gone below... oversold condition slowly being rectumified as broker houses work to get their heads out of their arses

shorterm we have some resistance at 168-170... price is returning from oversold into the area where shorterm moving averages swirl around and right themselves... this is healthy and absolutely necessary from which to stage any rally... relative strength on shorterm basis is approaching midrange zero levels, which is also essential for gathering any momentum

the strong stage is being built for a "simple momentum swing" rally to win back the 30 points lost and double them up to 220-230 price level... now that the technicals have been improving, watch in wonderment (fully anticipated) as recommendations and brokerage comments strangely pivot and become positive

never be surprised about unexpected negatives promoted when overbought, and unexpected positives promoted when oversold... it is called "brokerage manipulation"... in May it was Korea nonsense, in July it was S&P congame, in August it was handset margin nonsense... time for a dose of reality... should hear soon about rampup in handset production offsetting handset margin slight decline... should hear soon about radical chip margins and continued rampups... should hear soon about sinful and obscene royalties from CDMA chip licensing... and then we have the continents falling like dominoes into the CDMA bag

we await utterances of logic from the whores in gray suits... likely to sound something like:

CDMA WORLDWIDE DOMINATION ANTICIPATED BY END OF Y2K
