Burt, From what I see they got working designs but they had been obsoleted by the mobo chip set business. I expect AMD did work to make them it was very lucky that they 'sold' them to Intel as they would have been similarly obsolete in AMDs hands anyway.
Intel was to blame for not having a good forward view of the direction tech would take. I expect it left a bitter taste and partly explains the kill AMD mantra alive and well in Intel.
