Don,
I appreciate the post sounds like we win; game - set - match! Most analyst and financial writers know little of Rambus's potential; this fellow seems to some it up good. Naysayers can manufacture FUD in between major announcements and short the stock for their own short term benefit. That makes sense to anyone reads this board regularly. On the other hand major companies spending hundreds of millions to manufacture RDRAM - Its got to work or they will market it to work. I think both of the former will take place. Good luck in your trading patterns. It is obvious one can make a few dollars on quick trades; I just don't want to be left at the bus station when leaves for good.
Thx. Dutch

SHORTS ARE MANUFACTURING FALSE NEWS ACCORDING TO BUSINESS WEEK ONLINE.

Good post Don. This article explains the volatility of Rambus.

Clips from article.

"...there's a huge short position in the stock, and that the shorts (Dan3, Trpdmor, and company) were able to SPIN THE NEWS (Temporary PC133 support) as significant. These short-sellers, who borrow stock from long-term holders and return them later on the bet that the stock price has gone down in the meantime, profit if Rambus' stock drops. "The hedge funds love shorting this stock," says Cowen Peck. ".....There is no (Negative)news so they are able to MANUFACTURE NEWS. The market is looking at the wrong reasons to bid the stock down. All that matters is Intel's commitment to the RAMBUS technology, and that hasn't changed at all." Indeed each Intel executive who spoke at the developers conference mentioned the company's support for RAMBUS.

Enter Rambus, Its technology allows memory-chip makers such as Samsung and Micron Technology to build DRAM's that can handle as much as 1.6 gigabytes of data per second--MORE THAN DOUBLE THE BANDWIDTH OF TODAY'S MEMORY CHIPS. .... RDRAMS WILL LET NEXT-GENERATION PC'S PROCESS THE MASSIVE DATA STREAMS THAT WILL BECOME COMMONPLACE AS VISITORS START CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET VIS HIGH-BANDWIDTH DEVICES SUCH AS CABLE OR DSL MODEMS."

For reasons why RAMBUS is superior to ALL other memory technologies, read the SAMSUNG WHITE PAPER titled:

RAMBUS DRAM PERFORMANCE: Lowest latency with the Highest Bandwidth.

LONG INVESTORS WHO SEE THROUGH THE HYPE OF THE SHORT SPINS WILL BE EXTREMELY WELL REWARDED. THEY WILL BECOME FABULOUSLY REWARDED FOR THEIR DISCERNMENT.

Sincerely,

Investartist
