<Don't Intel's notebook chips?>>

Big sigh. At desktop voltage and dissipating that kind of power.

Do you believe that AMD has some magic scaling apparatus that will just blow away Intel's MHz ramp?

Look, I'm NOT saying that the K7 will not be able to scale in MHz, IN A REASONALBE MANNER. I am saying that there is nothing magical about either AMD's design or process that should inherently blow Intel out of the water, unless Intel screws up in a BIG WAY (have to be much bigger that the delay stuff). As a matter of fact, Intel could win this race for all I know. It may very well be close. Too early to tell, but I like what I'm seeing. Call it professional opinion. I'm putting my PB name on it. That's the best I can do, until the future unfolds.
