Dennis, it is my understanding that God does not turn His back on the person who feels he is a homosexual. The abomination is the commission of homosexual acts. I know a lot of people say that you can't be one without doing the other but,I believe that, for whatever inexplicable reason, they have made a choice to follow this path. I know from personal witnessing that they can change their preference and be redeemed as can any other sinner. God and I know what a miserable sinner I was with the drunkeness and carousing but, I also know that I have been forgiven and practice these vices no more...TD

Are you wishing? What proof of genetic code is there? Just by even disagreeing with you looks like I am judging, but I am not. I am sure your son is a nice guy, but why just drag God into his lifestyle and expect God to like it? You know what the book says.

If I decide to become an adulterer for my lifestyle, is that in genetic code too? Bet you can't prove it's not. Will God accept it because I want to do it? Looks a little selfish to me, even if it is hard for me not to be. And I have a some strong tendencies to want other folks stuff too, is it ok if I just go ahead and take it? God won't mind will He?

What do you make of the 1st chapter of Romans?

Your son has chosen his path. I probably won't change that. I won't comment to you anymore about it unless you do decide to tell me what you think of the Roman 1 passage.

BTW, you started signing "erase hate" and your name. I don't hate anyone, but I do hate sin. I hate what it does to my life and to anyones life. If I see an old man crossing the street and a truck is barreling down the street, will he decide that I hate him for breaking some of his ribs by knocking him out of the way of the truck? People have "broken some of my ribs" before. It ain't fun, but better than the alternative.

I won't bother you again.

dan

"In all my life I was never attracted to a girl. Every time I had a crush on anyone, even in
grammer school, it was always a guy" This is a direct quote from my son. Is it a gene
that caused it? I do not know. However I do believe that God made him what he is in all
ways. Therefore I cannot see how God would turn his back on one he created.

Well, now, that's more than a bit of a non sequitur. Are you suggesting that God has to approve of any personal traits which people have? Is there nothing your son has done which you don't approve of or have sought to change in him? If he had ever, as most kids do at one time or another, shoplifted, would you say this was right? Or would you turn your back on him? Wouldn't you continue to love him but chastize him for wrong behavior? I think Bible-based Christians would say that this is the course God would take. It is certainly the course taken by the movement which is trying to "cure" homosexuals through bringing them to Christ. Not a movement I am any part of, but it's there and represents the views of what one group of Christians believes is the right way to respond to homosexuality. Not either by accepting or by turning their backs.
