Thanks for the article. I find it amusing that every change they make to the data makes the economy look better. I could write a book about the things that they don't capture that make the economy look worse, but no one gets re-elected on reality, only fantasy. At a minimum they should give us stats that correspond to the old ways of calculating things so we have some basis of comparison.

Les, I can't wait to hear what the Clintonistas come up with to explain away the fact that debt is growing faster than income. Probably something along the lines that capital gains from the stock market will compound faster than debt in perpetuity. All negative influences are overstated and all positive factors are understated so the market is undervalued ho ho ho Mike

Les, Govt. stats have always been suspicious on political grounds, but in the past three years, they haven't even been trying to pretend they are real.
