Although that is very true, I think it is equally true that Nazis and most of those that went [sorry, edit: along with them] were likely to accept Nietzsches position. I do not know of any text passage, but I think it should be possible to find Goebbels quoting the passage you provided. The same could not be true for recent quotings of the Dalai Lama (or the Pope, or Bishop Tutu, and many others) had they been available at that time.
Now, that is not meant as killing you off in the same cruel manner you did with Mark; however I think that the discussion of honor vs. compassion has gone too far. Those people who base their argument on including compassion into honor, should honor their concept during discussion. Many things are buried now.

The core of the discussion should be at a different place: what did e.g. American soldiers (I am talking of the individuals) motivate to fight the Germans? Stated more precisely, which concepts were used in that process? Was it honor, was it compassion? Any practical person would say that both forces were at work, and actively used by those who professionally motivate soldiers.
Sadly (for this theoretical discussion) the same sentence is literally true for German soldiers. I think natural drives of defending your honor, of behaving honorable, and as well of compassion can be put to good or bad use - after some consideration on how to invoke some image, how to form the sentences. That is a question of rhetorical techne.
