The problem is that everyone who has been bearish for years has been wrong for years, and the longer they are wrong, they more they insist that they are right, it is the "market" that is wrong. And I think that these are mostly people who would call themselves capitalists who fundamentally believe in the market. Eventually one of them may notice that something is amiss, and express out some sort of neo-Marxist ideology, which will talk about capitalism burning up due to its own excesses.

Interesting, I still had in mind the guy who kept being the most accurate predictor of the economy before coming to the Fed and hadn't thought about his recent record. Maybe he's still stuck in the old paradigm<g>
