I agree with you Warpfactor. There is no place for posts like that on this board. It would be one thing if this was his first post, but three times! When he was wrong the first time he should have let it die. He should be removed from SI. I would like to keep the integrity of this board intact.

I believe in the story behind the E&P companies, but with a market cap of 22 million and posts like that, I just can't bring myself to buy.

Warp & others re r.edwards - Give it a rest! This isn't some womb of intellectual purity that you're talking about, it's just a damn discussion thread. If you consider his post hype, you need to read some of the penny stock threads on SI to see what goes for real hype. There are a number of posters on this thread who I would banish in a minute if I were tsar, but unless they break the lines of decency, they have every right to post here as you do. I believe they paid their money too. The next button is a very useful editorial tool, and I use it frequently <VBG>...

Warpfacts, is this the sign that you have been "Pricked" and have sour grapes too suck on........ you said in your previous post.

"If I may inquire, what is your background and what is the nature of your keen familiarity to the MEXP situation? In another post, you mentioned "3D work". Are you a seismological engineer?
BTW, I perceived yesterday's action in MEXP as a "hull breach", and today's action as a "dead cat bounce". I used today's bounce to eject my shares. At best, MEXP will underperform peers, at worst MEXP will meander back to 1.75 and possibly lower. I'm not saying this will happen, I've just observed this scenario so many times that I do not wish to defy the statistical gods. Keep/add to the winners, cut the losers."

Your use of hull breach, dead cat bounce, eject my shares etc, explain your position on MEXP clear enough, Now you can Kiss My @ss as everything I have said is True I've just been wrong on the Timing. Period.

<<<Off Topic>>> Hype
Hi Warpfactor,
Imho, the best way to deal with the sort of thing you refer to is simply to point it out and ask for substantiation.

Now that this board pays attention to many small companies whose stock is much more subject to manipulation, we are bound to see more Hype.

Most of us won't be influenced by Hype, anymore than we would buy those phoney Rolex watchs that are sold by men on the street.

But it is certainly a Good Idea to point out the shady posts and ask the right questions. This can be considered a Public Service. It is protective of newer, inexperienced investors who might be more easily tricked. Also it is a positive influence on the quality of the board. It's No help to the truly gullible, but there will always be others who Will be helped by having the flaws in the Hypsters' pitchs pointed out. Helping each other is what the point is supposed to be, yes?

The fact that such Hyping tactics can be successful in influencing some people just goes to show that P.T. Barnum was right --- There Is "A Sucker Born Every Minute".

regards,
diana
