I
would further argue that more murders take place against people of faith solely because
they profess that faith around the world, then takes place against homosexuals.

As to around the world, I won't comment. There is a lot of religious hate around the world. After all, one could interpret the Tutsi-Hutu conflict as a religious conflict. Then there is Kashmir, Tibet, Israel, and on and on. It's very tragic that religious intolerance is so often so extreme.

But as to the US, I think you are dead wrong. I have enough homosexual friends to know the very realistic fear many of them live under. I don't know of any organized groups in this country which are actively targeting people of faith. There are many targeting homoexuals.

Then there are people like Hitler, who went after both homosexuals and jews. Both sexual orientation and religious hatred there.

<<Very closely aligned I would say. So now let's consider how these words placed in curriculum toward a bunch of 3rd graders would manifest themselves. How do you see tolerance being taught without acceptance being at the root of the understanding? >>

I am not an educator but I seriously doubt any sexual behavior would be discussed with a third grader. I could see something like 'Johnny has 2 mommies(or daddies) instead of a mommy and daddy. His family is different from most but that is ok.' (hence the tolerance)

<<Is a murderer any less of a murderer because he/she killed a homosexual, black or hispanic person, then if the person was a white male christian? >>

Why is it when we discuss hate crimes it is always in the context of murder? You are right murder is equal because once the murderer is caught and convicted we execute him and it is over. But what about beatings for sport? What about the group of thugs that get in a car and drive to a gay area or black area or white area to beat up a fag or nigger or honky? This is not a crime of passion or need (as in a robbery) but a premeditated crime to make the thugs feel good about beating someone up. We differentiate between premeditated murder and other types of murderer so why not premeditated beatings? Remember these laws also apply to blacks or others beating white christian males so it is equal and not a special law.

I think stronger laws would be a deterrent and reduce the amount of hate crimes. It sure gets a lot of press in Chicago when someone is convicted of a hate crime and is given a stiff sentence. All the other haters are well aware of it.

Erase Hate,
Dennis

President is going to let a bunch of murdering terrorists out of prison in
order to help his wife get elected.

Are you aware that none of these prisoners have been convicted of being "murdering terrorists" but have been convicted of gun crimes, threatening, and other crimes for which long terms are unusual in other cases. They are held primarily under political doctrines of guilt by association.
Reasonable people despise most conservatives because they are addicted to lying when they find it convenient.
