djia, I am about to make a major purchase on MSFT January or April call options. So far i had been mostly in stock and very little money was put into options. Now i think the time is good. The stock at about 90 to 93 seems to be pretty good range to make a bet. I noticed that January options expire on the 21st--which is great as one would expect the earnings to be out in that week. The added volatility (that i am anticipating as we get get into January) would make the January series even more attractive. I made my major purchase of Intel options today---for January.

The next 1 day to 1 weeks should be great buying opportunities, IMHO.
(Of course only if one can manage such risk)
