RE:""Think back to when the first BX motherboards were released. No one

If I remember correctly the first P-II mobos were FX chipsetted.
Then the LX...then BX
Anyway, I can see why someone would have at least waited for the LX and bypassed the "beta" FX.

Did you involuntarily decide not to post this part of your link??? -

Heck no, if one clicks on the link, that part is right there.

"Think back to when the first BX motherboards were released. No one bought one of the first BX boards with the
knowledge that a much better board would be out in less than 6 months time at the same or an even lower
price."

Difference being that there were many other mobos available, which didn't keep processors with wheels spinning but going nowhere (that is if I believe there are that many Athlons, which I wouldn't bet on either).

So this will probably happen with Camino, just like it is happening to AMD and has happened to BX.

Now that's a leap to a conclusion if I ever saw one. Camino is unique and Dell and Gateway alone will buy them out of the chute as fast as they can get them.

Cirruslvr, <Did [Tony] involuntarily decide not to post this part of your link???>
He apparently posted this whole FUD "involutarily"
and picked up the worst words from the Anand's text
he could find.

Unfortunately for Tony, the kid even did not
bother to throw anything in support of his
"conclusion that there are no
good Athlon motherboards on the market."

I see the whole story just as an ordinary
venal journalism.
