Bill, I don't hate AMD; I simply love quality companies making quality products(let's not forget making money for their shareholders too). AMD has none of these qualities IMO. BK

Bill. WHen there are numbers of render farms using an 8 CPU Athlon mobo at 1000 Mhz The mobo community is having a helluva time getting out a good 1 CPU Athlon board. When do you expect the 8-way, and 1000 MHz Alon? Whenever that is, I wonder what'll be available from Chipzilla? Tony

Speaking of which, 460GX (4-way Merced chipset) taped out quite a while ago. The only 8-way Athlon chipset I know of is from HotRail, and they have yet to tape out. But then again, people who want an 8-way machine now will go and buy a Profusion-based Xeon server. Compaq is selling them right now. Tenchusatsu
