John Q Public, No I disagree with Mr. Gist's position. There is a shortage of natural gas developing in North America. Every supply/transportation company rep I speak with ends the conversation with "Oh, and if you have any extra gas supplies, please send 'em our way".

Second now it's getting hard to locate an onshore drilling rig. They are going quickly as money is moving back into well drilling partnerships which are engaging rigs for well programs.

Do you or one of your relatives need a job? Our local newspaper this Sunday has a full page of want ads from Halliburton, Schlumberger, BHI, tubular companies, acid companies, frac companies wanting to hire experienced people.

Many veteran workers left the industry and said "To hell with it" in 1997-98. They work at Wal-Mart or the local 7/11, and make 50%+ less money, but at least their wages are secure. They are not coming back. And it takes time to train new people in what is a very dangerous industry where mistakes may well cost you your life and the lives of those around you.

Collectively the OS/energy infrastructure as of right now as consituted at least onshore is not sufficient in North America IMO to meet the growing natural gas demand. That's just the opinion of one foot soldier sitting up in the front lines in the trenches and watching all of the ordnance fly overhead....

Anyone working offshore in the GOM, offshore West Africa, offshore various Asian Countries such as Indonesia or Vietnam, or North Sea who can chime in here and add another perspective
