I also saw a full page recruiting ad for job position
on San Jose Mercury News, local silicon valley newspaper
for LAM last week. They must be really hiring.

For their products, maybe, but here in "Silicon Valley" it's not that unusual to hear job ads. But more often we hear ads for job fairs, where many companies are represented.
