I would disagree. The SOX, the index which monitors and reflects conditions in the semiconductor industry, was down that day after making a new high the day before. In fact I think intc was down that day as well as were most of the semis.

Cramer's paragraph was part of a larger article in which he was mulling over other stocks. He refers to this as random musings and it is done in such a way that I do not think it would move a stock. As for his AMD short, I suspect he is long out of the stock. Most of his trades seem to last no more than a few days.
