If I was a CIO looking to invest in Linux, I would view this as a risk. Linus may be a smart guy, but I would not want someone who is working part time being the main brain behind the operating system I am investing in.

Also - do you realize that the CEO of Red Hat is now worth over $1 billion? Doesn't this represent a disconnect in the Open Source model, where people at one company can profit so handsomely off the work that so many others have done. There certainly must be some ill feelings in the Linux community about the current situation.
