Michael, you know about these things. Give me some informed guesses. How long would it take to put a carrier group and an amphibious force, with logistic support for an operation of at least a month, in place off East Timor? How many ships and people would be involved? How much would it cost?

"Unlease" is an oil and gas term (also "unless lease") --- it means that unless Taiwan starts invading by a date certain our support for them lapses with no further obligation for us to save them. Sorry for using technical terminology with laymen.
